The passive design allows full control via external amplification and DSP, while the high-quality textured finish and robust construction ensure long-term reliability in demanding installed environments. The EMS-61 features a 6.5” neodymium low-frequency driver paired with a 1” exit neodymium high-frequency compression driver, mounted on a rotatable 90° × 60° constant-directivity waveguide for flexible horizontal or vertical deployment. Its multi-angled birch plywood enclosure delivers a more natural and controlled sound than plastic alternatives, making it equally effective for speech and music. Performance is rated at 80 Hz – 20 kHz (±3 dB) with a maximum peak SPL of 124 dB, 200 W RMS / 400 W programme power handling and a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, all within a compact enclosure measuring approximately 368 × 195 × 208 mm and weighing around 7 kg.
